A productive meeting took place in Vienna, Austria, between Kateryna Odarchenko, a representative of the International Government Affairs Professionals Association (IGAPA) and CEO of SIC Group USA LLC, and Peter Petrov, a Belgian-qualified lawyer, research associate, and lecturer at Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Mr. Petrov brings extensive experience from private practice in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and the European Commission. His expertise includes cartel investigations, selective allocation, abuse of dominance, merger control within the EU and national jurisdictions (Germany, Austria, and France), regulated markets, government aid, anti-dumping procedures, and foreign direct investment screening. An active member of the French Society for Antitrust Law and the Academic Society for Antitrust Law, Mr. Petrov is deeply involved in antitrust issues and various related projects.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged insights from their professional experiences and discussed the progress and achievements in Government Relations (GR) globally and within the region. The role of IGAPA in advancing GR practices was also reviewed.

Mr. Petrov expressed his willingness to cooperate and maintain communication with IGAPA as a GR professional, marking the beginning of a promising partnership.
