The delegation from the Institute of Democracy and Development “PolitA” and SIC Group recently visited Israel for a productive working trip. During their visit, they conducted several meetings focused on party building and exchanging practical insights on state building and valuable legislative initiatives.

One significant meeting took place with Mark Yefremov and Yevhenii Sova, members of the Our Home Israel party in the Knesset. They discussed various aspects of party building, including methods of financing political parties, particularly through state funding.

In Israel, each elected parliament member receives state funding, ensuring transparency in their pre-election programs. For local elections, deputies receive approximately 65,000 shekels of state funding, though the amount may vary depending on the city.

Furthermore, if there is an opportunity to field a list of candidates in the elections, the state also provides funding based on the number of deputies expected to be elected to the municipality. However, in cases where candidates are unsuccessful in securing seats, they are required to return the provided funds to the state.

This system reflects a personal responsibility approach in elections, ensuring transparent management of campaign finances.
